HOW DOES THE ORDER PROCESS WORK WITH CAPTAIN CABINETS?

A: The ordering process can only be done on our secure website. After your order has been placed and paid for, you will receive a e-mail that your order was received.

“Order confirmations” are typically generated and e-mailed back to the customer soon after their order.   Please feel free to indicate if you have any other  preferences for ship date (i.e. “Ship 11/7”, “Hold until further notice”, or “Call to schedule delivery”).   If no indication is made, shipments will be sent out according to our lead time.

A: Once your order has been placed, you will receive a confirmation e-mail back from Captain Cabinets recapping in detail your order. Please review it carefully (please see cancellation policy if errors are found).

A: The “shipping invoice” will indicate which freight company or shipping company was used. This invoice will have a tracking number on it.

CABINET CONSTRUCTION

A: The cabinet front and door frames are made from solid wood. Forevermark’s cabinets are a full overlay cabinet door with raised wood veneer MDF center panel within a solid wood door and face frame. Cabinet box construction consists of ½” A-Grade plywood with wood veneer along with ¾” front and door frames.

A: They are Forevermark cabinets which gives your room a beautifully finished appearance, thanks to natural wood kitchen cabinet finishes and stylish designs with adjustable hardware to fit any space.

A: Drawer glides vary from, steel, with Under mount, full extension, soft closing features, to epoxy coated, metal side mount depending on cabinet style.

A: Our shelves are made from 3/4″ A-grade plywood with matching wood veneer.

A: Cabinet Knobs are not included in the package.

A: Forevermark Cabinetry is constructed from several pieces of solid wood and wood veneers on plywood. Differences in grain pattern and color should be expected. Color differences in wood are the result of variations in minerals found in the soil native to the tree’s origin. Absorption of these minerals will vary by tree or parts of said tree. In addition, color changes can be experienced due to different exposure to light. All species of wood will display chrematistics such as knots, pinholes, sap runs, mineral streaks, and darkening will age. It is the natural beauty of wood to exhibit these characteristics and they will be present throughout your cabinetry.

ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION

A: The cabinets as seen on the site are ready to assemble(RTA).

A: All of our cabinets are very easy to assemble. No previous experience is required. A wall cabinet takes about 10-15 minutes to assemble, while a base cabinet should take 15-20. Please look at our instructional video on how to assemble these cabinets

A: You may purchase a touch up kit to repair any nicks and scratches.

WARRANTY

A: TSG, llc warrants its Forevermark Cabinetry to be free of manufacturer defects for five (5) years from the date of purchase for most lines (all cabinets with painted finishes are limited to two (2) year warranty), or as long as the original purchasing consumer owns the home, whichever is less, against avoidable and unnatural defects in material and workmanship under normal use. This limited warranty applies to domestic use only, is non-transferable, and proof of purchase is required.

A: We are proud to offer cabinets that are certified by the Kitchen Cabinet Maker’s Association (KCMA). The following are cabinets which are certified by KCMA. KCMA certified cabinets have undergone very rigorous testing assimilating years of household use.
Testing Procedures include:-
Structural – 500 pound load bearing capacity

  • Door and drawer open/close – 25,000 cycle
  • Door open strength – 65 pound additional hanging weight
  • Finish – stain resistance to mustard, catsup, alcohol, vinegar, and assorted household chemicals
  • Finish – 24 hour detergent/water exposure

A: We offer cabinets that feature the use of waterborne UV finishes by Sherwin-Williams. The benefits of waterborne UV finishes include superior scratch resistance, low VOCS, finishes that are formaldehyde-hazard free.

DELIVERY/SHIPPING

A: We Ship to the continental USA only.

A: Your shipping cost will depend on the weight of your order and location to where it is being shipped. Once you are in the shopping cart your order will automatically be calculated for you prior to checking out.

A: Usually, it takes 4-5 days for us to get everything ready to ship out. Please allow 7-10 business days for trucking company delivery. In the event of out-of-stock items, we will inform you of our estimated restocking date. Orders will be processed once payment is confirmed.

A: Your order is shipped standard freight. You will be required to travel to the nearest freight truck carrier delivery warehouse. You will present your invoice at which time your shipment will be brought out on a pallet and placed on your transport vehicle. The forklift driver is under no obligation to break the pallet down and load onto your transport vehicle.

A: Once your order is shipped, we will email you a tracking number with a link to the carrier’s website where you can track your shipment at any given time and get an updated delivery date and time. Remember that sometimes it takes the carrier’s system up to 24 hours to update, so if you just received your tracking number it may not be available for tracking immediately.

A: We ship all of our cabinets by freight. They are packed individually on a pallet and delivered to your door. Smaller packages are sent via Fedex or Ups.

A: Cabinets are packaged unassembled in a box. In most instances they will be delivered on a pallet.

A: Yes. When you purchase a cabinet you will receive all of the needed items for its construction

A: Yes. Residential or job site deliveries are available  for an additional $90.

This includes tailgate delivery only.   Inside delivery is at the discretion of the driver. Shipments that involve deliveries above the first floor, regardless of elevators or walk-ups, or special circumstances may incur additional fees and must be made known to us at the time of order, or such accommodations cannot be made.  driver has discretion at the delivery site to refuse to perform any delivery or services deemed to be unsafe. Please note that drivers will not be responsible for disposing or removal of packing materials. Captain Cabinets reserve the right to refuse any residential or multi-floor delivery request.

MISSING/DAMAGED ITEMS

A: When freight is delivered or picked up, please verify that your order is intact and correct BEFORE signing the driver’s delivery slip.  Any incorrect or missing items claims will NOT be honored once a delivery is signed for.  If any items in the delivery appear to be damaged or missing, please note on the driver’s delivery ticket and contact Matrix Cabinets immediately.

There are times when everything on a delivery looks fine, but when you open the box the item is damaged.  Please open all boxes within seven (7) days of delivery.  If you do not file a claim or submit a claim form in this time frame of seven (7) days, a claim cannot be filed and the item will not be replaced. Damaged item claims must be made prior to assembly and/or installation. Any damaged item that is installed or assembled will not be replaced.

A: To request a replacement for damages or warranty, please fill out the enclosed Captain Cabinets replacement/return form with a picture of the damaged item and  send via email to: Warranty@captcabinets.com.  Damaged items must be claimed within seven (7) days of delivery.

DISCOUNTS

A: We offer additional discounts to contractors and other trade professionals depending on the quantity of cabinets purchased.  Please see our Industry Discount Program page to sign up.

RETURN/CANCELLATION POLICY

A: Cabinets can be accepted for return for up to 30 days after delivery date .

We can only accept RTA  returns in new condition and original packaging.  Assembled, modified or special order cabinets cannot be returned.  RTA cabinets that are assembled cannot be returned.  Display orders cannot be returned.  All returns are subject to inspection and a 25% restocking fee. Credit cannot be given for product returned without the proper  paperwork.  Orders that are confirmed but are cancelled prior to delivery or refused upon delivery will also incur a restocking fee.

To request a return, please fill out the replacement/return form and send via email to Sales@Captcabinets.com.

A: You will be given a full refund once your cancellation order is made within 24 hours. Any cancellation request must be made via phone (888-628-5759) or e-mail to sales@Captcabinets.com within 24 hours of receipt of your order confirmation. There are no cancellations allowed after 24 hours.  Captain Cabinets reserves the right to cancel any order due to availability and/or errors on captcabinets.com.  You will be notified.
